I am wearing a 1970s dress, antique velvet jacket, 1920s millinery blossoms, and a 1960s velvet hat.

  4. I adore that dress you're wearing, little lady. And your hair is getting pretty long again!

    1. Thanks, Crystal Lee! It is a much more satisfactory length now; I haven't had hair this long in three years, and it feels great!

I mostly use drugstore makeup: Revlon foundations and lipstick (this one is Black Cherry I believe), L'Oreal and Almay eyeliner, Coty airspun powder, and Sonia Kashuk blush. Oh, and the falsies are from Party City ;)

  13. I'm in love with the final shot. I love the organic art compositions created on a woman's dresser. :)

    1. Thanks Kelly-Ann! I agree, dressers and vanities have the most lovely mess; it looks like an overgrown garden or treasure chest!

  15. There is so much goodness going on in these photos. I love your dress and all textures going on - the bedspread, the curtains, your COAT. That doll is creepy... in a good way.

  16. Such splendidly captivating photos - something about the inclusion of silver hand mirror in particular really drew me into this set of images. I think it relates to how the photos themselves are a bit like holding a mirror up to the (wonderful) past.

    1. Thank you Jessica!
With my handmirror I was trying to evoke the vanitas paintings of the Dutch masters :)

  17. That first picture is so good. There's something bizarre and intriguing about it, with the way your head is cut off and your legs are straight and the placement of your hand... also the colors are gorgeous ~~~
