This week my li'l strawberry roan, Chinook, is having his 17th birthday!
He lives up the hill from me at my neighbor's place, an old dairy farm which I frequently haunt.
Here's a little tour, if you like......
The farmhouse was built in the 1780s, and it's been a working farm ever since. There's a deep sense of history all around; the barns contain centuries worth of strange old things, including beautiful antique sidesaddles and sleighs.

What a pretty, pretty place! Love your horse. I have a deep and abiding love for Appaloosas. :)
ReplyDeleteAww Happy Birthday to him! All the photos are just dreamy. They make me me miss living out in the country in Kentucky.

ReplyDeleteAnd how awesome to have your own horse! My daughter is 5 and utterly in love with horses. She asked me the other day exactly what she needed to do to become a cowgirl :)

ReplyDeleteHappiest birthday, sweet Chinook (love his name, especially having lived in Calgary for a couple years when I was younger, where both chinooks and horses abound - I hope you enjoy many more wonderfully lovely ones to come.
