There is such a gripping, soulful element to that image. The heavy blanket of clouds and lone house seem ominous, yet the children - somber faced as they are - offer a glimmer of hope to this powerful setting.
You inspire me musically more than anyone I actually know. First You gave me Karen Dalton and now this! It's mindblowingly beautiful! Plz check my newest blog post it's also got some music to it that You might like aswell...A huge MWAH!
I love Jessie Mae Hemphill too - thanks for the great song! I recently got a great record with a Jessie Mae Hemphill song "Been here all my days'. If you haven't heard the album before I'm sure you'd love all the other artists on it too!
You introduced me to Woody Guthrie and he's a regular on playlists at home, the kids especially love his music and I really enjoy telling them stories of what people went through during the dustbowl years. Now I have another singer to look out for! Thank you Dakota:)) x
