cape cod album, vol. II

A little sampling of my outfits & adventures on my seaside holiday... Part Two of Three.

Greetings, friends! Here are a some more pictures from my summer vacation, this time taken on the bright and beautiful beach.

My swimsuit is a 1960s "Ceeb of Miami" that I thrifted for about $5.00. The cut and silhouette remind me of early '20s and '30s suits (though it has an open back), while the vibrant turquoise polka dots are pure Annette Funicello.

Shortly after this next picture was taken, I climbed onto a boat for a Seal Tour!!!! I have always loved seals, so it was pretty much the most thrilling day of my life. My seal photos turned out awful, just tiny black dots floating in the water, haha. But trust me, they were so funny and cute! My new dream in life is to have a sea lion act in a traveling circus, like Venus in Freaks.

PS: The internet is unbearably slow here, and I've been working crazy hours, so I apologize for not taking the time to comment on other blogs as much as I'd like! I'm still readin' along, though.

  8. Lovely outfits! The first is my favorite. I can't believe you found your swimsuit for only $5! So lucky.
After watching Carnivale, I would be happy to be a part of any act in a traveling circus (except the coochie show I guess) so long as it was also in the 1930s...!
