cape cod album, vol. III

A little sampling of my outfits & adventures on my seaside holiday... Part Three of Three.

These pictures are my favorites, taken out in the marshlands. The golden evening light was perfect, and the scenery spectacular. I honestly prefer the salt marshes to the beach aesthetically; plus there's less crowds and more wildlife to watch.

I'm not sure if I've formally introduced her before, but my charming companion in these pictures is my dog Banjo. She got to come along with me, and had a ball playing with her doggy "cousins", and frisking in the salt water for the very first time. Though she stayed home during my beach & town adventures, having a dog along gave me plenty of chances to explore the more wildernessy areas of the Cape.

...and here we have a cranberry bog. How very Cape Cod!

I hope you had a lovely weekend!
 'Bye!

  3. My first dog was a Siberian Husky/Wolf mix. Sadly she attacked me when I gently told her to get out of the garbage where the pizza crusts were. . .and I have the scars for it, but I still loved her SO much that I didn't care. Unfortunately she attacked two other people and my parents put her down by the time she was 11 months old. I miss her. she was so gorgeous (her name was Sapphire, like the color of her eyes). Your dog is gorgeous too, and I love the name Banjo. Your photos look like ones of days of old!

  8. I love that you took these photos with a film camera! The first photo is just too cute. I too love marshlands(but maybe not so much as the beach); I am from Southern California after all. I've enjoyed all the photos from your trip.

  9. I've adored the 3 installments of your holiday photos, wish they wouldn't end! All of your pictures look like they were taken back in the '50s and the shot of you in the grass reminds me of Andrew Wyeth's painting, "Christina's World".

I have always wanted a Husky, your dog is so sweet.

  11. Thank you, dearies!!
Haha, Banjo's not a real husky... she has some in her for sure, but we call her a "pygmy husky" 'cause she's pretty small. A true mutt!
