Wow! have I been busy lately... final exams are around the corner. What a joy. Anyway, in this bleak time of late nights in the library and cold windy December weather, I like to tie a jaunty patterned scarf in my hair and put on a li'l too much blush and red lippy à la Ms. Miranda. Yessir, no need for anti-depressants when you've got the Brazilian bombshell!!
Hope this magnificent dame helps to clear away some of your Monday blues!

Aw I wanted to be Carmen this year for Halloween but couldn't get my costume together in time! She's so sassy and vibrant, definitely great inspiration for when it's cloudy and chilly outside.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a babe! <3 Seriously, I often think to myself how much I want a fruit hat! It might be time for a DIY!

A co-worker of mine turned 70 recently and she wanted me and my other co-worker to make her a special birthday hat, so we made her a Carmen Miranda fruit hat. It was awesome! It was very difficult to make, but it turned out so well. It weighed about 5 pounds, though!

I've always loved Carmen Miranda's totally over the top style! I once searched all over the place for a Carmen costume for a dress up party, and my date was going to be a banana... couldn't find one though. :( Love her gold sequined costume!
