I had the most wonderful surprise recently... I won this darling Shabby Apple dress ("The Traveler") in a giveaway over on the beautiful blog Demure Folk!!!
I don't have many modern frocks in my wardrobe, a fact I often lament; as nice as it is to have a closet stuffed with 70 year old dresses, it isn't practical in the least. This little lovely is such a welcome addition; it fits like a dream and is so beautifully tailored, in a sturdy fabric. The fact that some of the proceeds go to charity really wins me over, too. The only problem is that I shall have to wait until Spring to wear it outside properly, hehe!
Our meadow looks so pretty in its late Autumn golden glow.
Thank you so very much to Tess and to Shabby Apple for holding the giveaway! ♥
I'll definitely be a repeat customer!
That dress looks darling on you! And I agree, it is nice to have a few newer, less delicate items in your wardrobe.

ReplyDeleteThat dress is so gorgeous!!! Shabby Apple make such sweet dresses, if only their postage to Australia wasn't so expensive...*sigh*

You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh the frock is simply glorious on you Dakota:). Yes, I know what you mean about everything in one's wardrobe being so old and fragile. Sometimes it's just nice to pop something on without the worry of a split seam etc. But your new frock looks very vintage and congratulations! Your home is looking really lovely in the autumn, I love seeing the change of seasons in Vermont - we don't get them here in Brisbane. xo
ReplyDeleteI love the Ascot tie top and the high waist of the skirt, the dress looks like a cross between a Gibson Girl and a fabulous 1940s career girl! Lovely makeup, hair and backdrop as always. Can't wait to see more of your autumn outfits.
ReplyDeleteOh, I should enter these things more! I won a card on the hello lucky blog a while ago and it made my week! :) You look like a total sweetheart in this outfit! ;) Have a lovely week! Zoë x
