I hope your Easters were splendid!!
As for me, well, I really could write a sonnet about my Easter bonnet...
1930s dress, 1920s hat, TUK t-straps.
I just bought this gorgeous 1920s sunhat from the same dealers who sold me my similar cloche, and I'm convinced they're from the same milliner, as the materials are near identical. Sadly, they are both in rather ruinous condition, so I will be relegating this floppy confection to display, but it's perfectly lovely as an objet d'art. Silk, silk, silk, why must you shatter?!
Postscript: I was quite startled to note that I've passed the 500 follower mark. I'm continually amazed to see anyone actually cares about my affinity for archaic nonsense, haha. Thank you, loveliest readers, for taking the time to come by :)
Ravishing as always Dakota!I'm not surprised at all you have over 500 followers! Your love and passion for the bygone days is what all of us golden era fans strive for!

ReplyDeleteOh Dakota your Easter Bonnet is just dreamy, you lucky thing. Shattered silk breaks my heart but I am also a sucker for the beauty that sometime comes with decay, so I'm happy that you still gave this beautiful peice of history a home. I am not surprised at all by your 500 readers your blog is so beautiful and so are you. It is a pleasure to stop by and I always look forward to my visits.

You look beautiful! I just adore that hat--even though it's showing it's age, it still looks gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love your outfits so much Dakota and even more when you had a little bit of musical history into the mix - that's why I keep coming back for more and clearly why 499+ people do too! Congratulations sweetie, the frock and hat are divoooooooooon!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant, feminine ensemble. There are few things lovelier thank vintage lace and silk, and the marriage you've made of them both here is inspiringly pretty.
