(Outfit: 1950s little girl's hat; 1950s day dress; antique lace collar; Remix 1940s style playshoes)
I have a question for you, dear readers:
I found it at my secret antiques store for $1.00-- too cute to pass up! I have recently been charmed by the idea of little Victorian girls with cascading curls wearing big straw hats with long ribbons. I'm sure I look slightly crazy to the average passerby with the 7" long antique hatpin I chose to hold this baby down, haha! It's probably a good thing, actually-- self defense and all ;)
And here we have another light blue dress, with blue eye shadow in loving memory of Liz Taylor in Cleopatra. Also me being delusional and pretending it's just another sunny summer day when it's really about 30 degrees out and snowy, ha!
what a super cute outfit!! I really like the lace collar =)
ReplyDeleteoh wow. i JUST logged in to see what was updated today, and i just wanted to say...it's sad how excited i was to see the title. when i was little i had two hamsters (patience and prudence.)

ReplyDeleteMaya, that's so cute! I admit I didn't find out about P & P 'til high school, through "Ghost World", but I still feel all nostalgic for childhood when I listen to them.
Thanks Erin! I wish I could say my hair was naturally thick and curly, but rag rollers, Elnett, and a teasing comb are my secret weapons! It's straight as a pin and quite lank left on its own.
Oh this dress is so cute! Lovely Blog (-:
