(Outfit: 1950s day dress, vintage cardigan, Howard's Leather belt, ugly old cowboy boots)
Spring has finally reached us!! I couldn't be happier right now; we had a weekend of sunny skies and 70 degree temperatures, it was just lovely, and such perfect timing, as I took this weekend to go home for a little visit. I had my horse Chinook join me in some outfit shots; he was very happy to oblige, as I had a big juicy carrot for him, ha ha! Now, don't worry, I am not so crazy that I actually wear vintage dresses around the barn on a regular basis; believe it or not, I do [usually!] don flannel shirts and jeans when I'm around the horses.
Oh, and I just have to share this-- my mother finally let me have this
amazing bed in my room:
I've had a cute little antique pineapple bed since I was little, but I've been
eyeing this pretty Victorian cottage bed in our guest room for ages.
Isn't it magical? The picture on the headboard is of a mirror
wreathed in flowers; it's sure to bring me sweet dreams.
I hope your weekends were just as wonderful ♥
Gorgeous photos, Chinook is beautiful horse, and what a great environment!
ReplyDeleteThat bed is so cool!
I've always been dreaming living in a place like that, horses, barns and beautiful views around.. so great! :)
That is one of the most gorgeous beds I have EVER seen & the pics with you and the horse are beautiful.

ReplyDeleteDoing a giveaway on my blog; check it out!
really, this is quite fun!! i love your animals and your bed is so amazing. that is nice that your mom let you have it.
ReplyDeleteThank you all!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're finding Chinook cute; he was really filthy from rolling in the freshly thawed mud, I promise he's a lot shinier and prettier in the summer.
Also thanks for the bed compliments. I can't quite get over how cool it is; I feel like a gypsy princess or spoiled Edwardian girl when I'm in it!
Love that bed is it an heirloom ?? Lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteNelly-- thanks!! It's not an heirloom, unfortunately; my mom got it at auction, I believe. We do have a lot of heirloom furniture, it's just not as girly, haha.
ReplyDeleteI can't say what I love about this post because I love literally everything about it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are wearing the most gorgeous clothing as usual! Chinook is so pretty- I'm glad you got to enjoy such a marvelous weekend with him! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with everything (as usual...) but my sleep deprivation made my brain envision an actual "Pineapple bed." Like, a bed in the shape of a giant pineapple, as opposed to carvings of pineapples. It was an exciting few seconds! Ha. I need a nap.
