funnel of love

Hello lovely readers!
This is a bit of a "filler post"... just a few outfits I've been wearing of late.

I'm still very inspired by 1950s western wear, as you can see! Outfit on the left: 1970s western shirt, thrifted skirt (originally a dress, I hacked it up!), TUK pumps. On the right: 1960s Rockmount western shirt, 1950s jeans.

Early Wanda Jackson has been my style muse lately; she's such a bombshell, yet totally adorable too:

"Funnel of Love" is not just one of my favorite Wanda songs, but one of my favorite songs by anyone; imagine my delight when I found this version she re-recorded with the Cramps in 2003:

While I was at home this weekend I had the opportunity to photograph (and be photographed, of course!) inside one of the prettiest abandoned houses ever; it's a cute little country cottage not far from my own house that's been vacant for years. I'll have a full post up very soon, but for now, here's a little teaser of some of the amazing wallpaper inside:

See you soon ♥

  1. I love your outfits & Wanda Jackson. I once saw a picture of her wearing a 50s peach fringe dress and her outfit left such an impression pn me. I still long for a similar one. I saw her perform live many, many years ago,in Long Beach & I just watched her on the Conan O'Brian show the other day. I can't believe how well her voice has held up! She still sounds the same. She just released a new record that was produced by Jack White. Have you heard it? I still need to check it out.

  2. Thanks Crystal Lee! I've been meaning to buy that album too; I've heard some of the tracks and seen the "Thunder On the Mountain" music video on YouTube (Wanda + Jack White=most adorable thing ever). You're right, she still sounds a-mazing! I love that she's in her 70s and just gets cooler every day.
